What does it mean by 500 lifecycles?

500 lifecycles means if you were to discharge and recharge a power station up to 100% that is one cycle. After 500 cycles the power station will still operate normally but may not reach up to the full battery capacity. This will continue through several hundred more cycles until the battery is eventually depleted.
